Cole spends the night at Rosie's. They had brought the at.oow and Cole held it. Cole ate and told Gorvey it was his fault he was attacked by the Spirit Bear. He learns that he has many broken bones. He slept troubled, then awoke to the thought as to why his friends helped him. Garvey told him that he does it to help himself. Then Cole slept hard. He learns the plane is coming in 30 minutes to pick them up. He then explained to Edwin what had happened at the island. Cole reaches into his clothing and grabs the white Spirit Bear fur. He threw it into the water. Then, smiling, he laid down on his stretcher.
