Touching Spirit Bear Chapters 9 and 10 Reflection.

In these two chapters, Cole lays on the ground, afraid he is going to die. He sees a bird's nest and thinks that the birds deserved to be knocked out of their nest. he thought that the mother bird shouldn't take care of the baby birds because she didn't owe them anything. And he felt he didn't owe anyone anything.

During the night, it started to rain, and he saw the Spirit Bear fleetingly. Cole thought the bear was a coward. Then the thunderstorm became massive, and Cole began to yell. A lightning streak hit the oak tree the baby birds were in and it fell to the ground. Cole was worried about the baby birds, so he pulled up enough energy to ask if they were okay.

Cole unwillingly went to the restroom, and he felt helpless. He saw the four baby birds, dead from the tree's falling. He realized that he wanted to live. Cole needed food, so he ate grass. Cole started choking on the grass and did not want to cough, but he also did not want to die, so he coughed, and it really hurt. he ate worms and drank rain. Then Cole caught a mouse.

Chapter 11 & 12 reflection

During Chapters 11 and 12 of Touching Spirit Bear, Cole ate a mouse, and other disgusting things, and touched the Spirit Bear. He ahd learned that the world was beautiful and he had been trusted. Then he was rescued by his friends.
One time, when I was angry, it felt like the world had decided to put all of it's weight on me. I couldn't see
anything I didn't want to see, because I was so blinded by my own thoughts that all I cared about was myself. I
would agree with the fact that actions speak louder than words, because if you say you are going to do
something, people may not believe you, but if you just do it, then people will believe you. I diagree with the
statement that people never change, because changing is up to you, honestly. If you do not believe you ever will
change, you won't try to change, and remain the same way forever, but if you truly believe you can change and
really try, then you will change, for the better.
I also disagree with the statement that other people's thoughts are not important. I think that everybody's thoughts are important, because what else is a democracy but other people's thoughts? Without debates, people would just get what they want. Opinions are very important, because without them, the world would be what we want it to be, and we would never grasp the perception of reality.
I can see both agreeing and disagreeing with this next thought about the fact that if parents abuse their children, their children will in turn abuse their own children. I would agree with this because this is all the children have ever known as punishment, so they think it's acceptable to use on their own children. But I would disagree because of an earlier point; You can change if you want to change. If you truly think abuse is wrong, but your parents did it to you, and you try to change then you can change and not abuse your own children.
I agree that anger is a memory never forgotten because anger connects to shame accordingly. If you get angry and break something, like you slam the door and it cracks, then afterwads you are ashamed of what you have done, and the memory of it haunts you.
